My citizen science, education, and stewardship commitment includes surveying and nature journaling rare plants in Wisconsin. We all depend on the survival of these plants.
The Pitcher’s Thistle, Cirsium pitcheri, used in my logo is a federally endangered species found on the dunes around Lake Michigan and Lake Huron.
Special thanks to my dear friend and fellow artist Michael Burmesch for designing my logo!
Contact the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (or your local state) for more information about becoming a Rare Plant Monitoring Program volunteer and help preserve our rare flora for future generations.
